The Starfish Care

Frustration has been a big part of this journey. How do you speak about something that many people either don't believe possible, or are afraid to believe in? How do you get your voice heard when you appear unimportant and insignificant to any establishment?

Well, the answer has been to handle a lot of rejection, and to keep on finding ways to speak my truth until someone responds.

One night I asked the question. Is it worth it? Why should I try when there is so much rejection? I asked the question out loud, on a porch in Brattleboro, Vermont, while hanging out with friends.

The answer came from one of my friends. He said, "The Starfish Care". Appearantly starfish can get washed ashore by the thousands. Too many to throw everyone back in. But for each one that does, that action means everything.
